The first conference planning committee meeting for WONCA 2020 was held during the site visit of Dr. Garth Manning WONCA CEO, between 17th & 19th March 2019 in the presence of Dr. Hussein Al Rand, Co Chair, Asst Undersecretary, Health Centres, Clinics & Public Health, UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention, Dr. Wadeia Al Sharief, Co-Chair of the host organizing committee and President of the Emirates Family Medicine Society, Dr. Mohamed Farghaly Co-Chair of the International Scientific Committee, Professor, Dubai Medical College, Scientific Chair Emirates Society of Family Medicine & Secretary General – WONCA EMR, Dr. Hayfa Hamad Abdalla Faris, Consultant Family Physician, Deputy Head of primary care department, Director of Family Medicine Residency Program, Ms. Lina Alaa El Din Executive Director and Mr. Medhat Nassar, CEO Meeting Minds – Experts.
Dr. Garth also visited The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre – the WONCA 2020 venue – and met with Mr. Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Chief Commercial Officer (Acting) and the ADNEC team and discuss the initial preparations for WONCA 2020.
